John Brumund-Smith Lake
Forest High School. Back for his fifth year of speaking, John has a very
simplistic way of explaining different coaching techniques. He breaks down the events in a very easy way
to understand and apply as a coach.
This year he will present High School and Basic level sessions.
Joe and Janet Erb - Winnebago High School. In their 8 year tenure as the Winnebago coaches, Joe
and Janet have helped lead their Winnebago Girls team to a State record 5
straight State Championships. In that
same time frame, the Winnebago boys have also won 2 state titles.
Jeff Butler Monticello High School. In the last
two years Jeff has help lead the Monticello boys Cross Country Team to a pair
of 3rd place finishes in the State, and the Girls to a 3rd
place finish this year.
Jackie Schackmann Newton High School. Jackie has help develop Newton Jumpers into one of the top High Jump schools in the state. They have had 6 top 5 State medalists in the last 5 years.
Henry Nykaza - Beecher High School. As the Head boys track coach and assistant Cross Country coach, Henry has helped develop Beecher into a state power in both sports. He not just takes the distance runners but helps incorporate sprinters into the 4x800 relays and Cross Country teams.
Don Fredericks Geneseo High School. Don has been a mainstay on the Geneseo and Central Illinois running scene over the past 25 years. He has helped develop many Division 1 runners.
Gale Gross Geneva High School. Gale has coached numerous throwers to State medals
in AA and 3A for Geneva.
Bruce Johnson - Winnebago High School. In just a few short years as the Winnebago
weight coach, Bruce has developed a strong throws program. In 2008, Winnebago had two of the top three
